Our Story
Moving Kids – Maths for Minors focus on learn through discovery. It is a Learner-based program and the teacher’s biggest function is facilitating the activity and guide the learners to discovery.
The Program focus on the why and moves away from the traditional rote-learning. The program differentiates between different learning styles, which benefit all children to set a perfect atmosphere of learning for everyone.

I am a proud mom of three and love children and seeing them succeed whether my own or my Math-kids just completes me..
I became part of the Moving Kids team in 2016 just after my second baby was born. Leaving my full time teaching career to be able to spend more time with my kids. Teaching and Children has always been my passion and I love every minute of being able to teach these super little humans.
I am also the owner of our very successful Moving Kids Middelburg franchise where we have classes at Pre-schools and our centre in town.

Moving Kids Philosophy
Learners in schools experience specific dropouts in the next phase of teaching. The cause turns out that there are concepts that have not yet been captured in the previous stages. There are many factors that lead to this, e.g., each child’s individual readiness in terms of learning content differs from child to child.
Thus, essential building blocks are lost and such a small child becomes discouraged and struggles with poor risk-taking and self-esteem when it comes to Mathematics.
Since most concepts in Mathematics remain the same from Grades R to 5 (and only get progressively more difficult), repetitive exercise has invaluable value.
The Moving Kids Program addresses this recap, but because the lessons are so creative and playfully worked out, the kids don’t even realize they’re learning – it’s just fun!
Not everyone is necessarily mathematically connected and sometimes doesn’t know where to start. The lesson plans are complete, well outlined and easily feasible. It also leaves room for every teacher to express her personal voice in her teaching. The facilitator becomes more familiar with the program and very often comes up with valuable and creative ideas.
The Preschool child is very receptive and eager to learn new concepts. We have presented the Moving Kids Programme with great success at various schools and it is truly wonderful to observe the incredible growth in the children. A child who has followed this programme has a very strong foundation that can only make him/her benefit in the future. The self-confidence in Mathematics, cultivated through the following of the programme, is invaluable.
