Coding For Minors

Coding for Minors

We are proud to introduce the Moving Kids: Coding for Minors Program that is included in our Moving Kids MK FRANCHISE.

We make use of fun and creative UNPLUGGED CODING activities to introduce all the exiting concepts and coding skills that is priceless for tomorrow’s Tech driven world.

As always with Moving Kids MK: We start with the END in MIND and break down the coding concepts to lead the child in a tiered way to achieve these skills.

What is Coding?

Coding is the way we tell computers to do all the helpful things  they do for us

Computers follow a list of instructions in a specific language that a coder or programmer has written

Coding is what makes it possible for us to create computer soft ware, apps , websites and many more

We focus on COMPUTATIONAL THINKING:

  • Decomposition

Breaking the problem into smaller more manageable parts

  • Pattern recognition

Recognizing which parts are the same and the various attributes we can use to define them

  • Algorithm design

Planning the step-by-step instructions that need to be carried out to achieve the goal

  • Sequencing

The particular order of instructions needed to complete a specific task

  • Debugging

Fixing an issue with your instruction so that you get the correct result

In the MK : Coding for Minors we teach kids:

Risk taking                 Creativity                       Critical thinking            Problem Solving

Math Processes         Perseverance               Teamwork                       Self Confidence
